For High Schoolers (Grades 9–12), The sacrament of Confirmation, along with Baptism and Eucharist, is one of the three sacraments of initiation. At Confirmation, the Holy Spirit strengthens the baptized Christian and endows them with gifts to enable them to carry out our mission to be Christ in the world and to continue building God’s kingdom. To be a full member of the Catholic Church, one needs to be baptized, confirmed and receive first Eucharist. Preparation to receive the sacrament of Confirmation takes place in high school, over a two-year period.

More Than Just a Resource
Purpose is a transformative approach to confirmation. Multiple components combine impactful curriculum with a powerful digital tool to enhance communication and ease administrative tasks. Coupled with engaging supplementary material for teens and parents, Purpose is more than just a resource. It is a whole new approach to sacramental preparation.

A Focus on Evangelization
The Purpose curriculum is 24 sessions with a heavy focus on evangelizing young people and accompanying them as they become disciples. The curriculum addresses three big questions, "Why believe in God?", "Why trust Jesus?" and "Why be a part of the Church?" These questions are supplemented with the Foundations book series, which allow teens to dive more deeply into each. There are four versions of the 24 session curriculum, each adapted for a specific group.
A Purpose subscription gives you access to large group, small group, 8th grade, and Spanish curriculum. Additionally, all Purpose sessions begin with a small group bible study modified from Life Teen's lectionary-based discipleship group, Summit. A Purpose subscription provides your parish with access to these modified Summit sessions for every Sunday of the liturgical year.
